Time to Love the Hill!!

This month we have some incredible opportunities for you to get involved in serving and ministering to one of the poorest and most crime-ridden neighborhoods in Harrisburg - South Allison Hill. 

APRIL 21st - Greater Harrisburg Cleanup Day (9am-1pm)

We're collaborating with the city by hosting our monthly volunteer day on the Greater Harrisburg Cleanup Day where they will be mobilizing teams to clean up trash around Allison Hill. Sometimes it may seem like picking up trash isn't very important, but it is one of the most powerful expressions of love and humility you could show. Just like Jesus put himself in the position of a servant to clean his disciples' feet, so this is a way to bend low and literally clean the ground these precious souls are walking on. 

We will be partnering with local organizations and up to 500 other volunteers to go out and Love the Hill from 9 am - 1 pm on Saturday, April 21st. In addition, to picking up trash we will also use the time to get to know neighbors and spread the word about our Spring Block Party coming up the next weekend. Come on out and bring a friend! We are so excited to see what God will do through this simple act of love!

APRIL 28th - Spring Block Party (11am-3pm)

This spring we are inviting you to come out to volunteer for our annual Spring Block Party hosted in the yard of the Mansion. The vision behind this party is so much more than just good food and fun - we desire to create a presence-centered environment and our prayer is that everyone who steps on this property will encounter Jesus through you and me. 

The Spring Block Party will include a full meal, games, kid's activities, and more but we can't pull this off on our own. If you are interested in volunteering, here are some areas we need help with:

- Food prep/ service

- Games and activities

- Set up and tear down

- Security 

In addition, to the outreach we will also be having a Burn going on at the same time from 10am-3pm in the prayer room inside the Mansion.
